Meetings

A number of meetings are planned as part of the DFID AIDS Strategy Consultation.

6 June 2007 (London, UK)
Consortium Quarterly Meeting
There will be a session at the Quarterly Meeting next Wednesday June 6th to discuss the consultation questions and pull out some of the main points, and then discuss whether the Consortium, separate Working Groups and the Stop AIDS Campaign will be making their own submissions.

16 to 19 June 2007 (Kigali, Rwanda)
HIV Implementers meeting (TBC)
Over 1500 government staff, HIV implementers of programmes and members of multi-lateral agencies will be attending this Conference in Kigali. Sally Joss is planning to attend to promote the "Updating Taking Action" public consultation to the conference participants.

4 to 7 July 2007 (Nairobi, Kenya)
International Women's Summit: Women's Leadership on HIV and AIDS
The World YWCA, in partnership with the International Community of Women Living with HIV and AIDS (ICW) and other international organisations, will convene an unprecedented international conference on women’s leadership on HIV and AIDS. Fiona Pettitt and Sally Joss will be attending to promote the consultation document and speak to conference delegates about the possibility of them making submissions to the consultation.

20 July 2007 (London, UK)
UK Consultation Meeting
There will be a UK Consultation Meeting held in London. This will be open to all Consortium members, all those who were invited to the launch and academics, politicians, pharmaceutical companies and representatives from foundations and trusts. The day will consist of a number of workshops looking at specific aspects of the consultation questions, which by then people will have had time to think through and discussed within their own organisations.
